Nuffic NexusWatch project: Kick-off

Successful Kick-off Meeting for TMT+ Project "NexusWatch" in Jordan

The Tailor-Made Training Plus (TMT+) project, "Earth Observation and Geoinformation Technologies to Foster Water-Energy-Food Nexus Interventions (NexusWatch)," officially commenced on the 11th of 2023 at the University of Jordan (UJ). The event saw the participation of local officials, academic deans, senior executives representing the six partner organizations, and the Nuffic country manager.

During this significant gathering, two ITC trainers, in collaboration with AgriWatch, the Dutch partner organization, engaged in fruitful discussions. They addressed the knowledge gaps and challenges in Jordan and the surrounding region concerning the utilization of Earth Observation (EO) data for monitoring the water, energy, and food nexus, as well as their respective sustainability.

This event witnessed the active involvement of 26 participants from six local partner organizations who had requested the training, alongside key representatives from these institutions.
